Yoga therapy differs from traditional yoga in that it addresses physiological and mental health issues. It's been shown to be an effective complementary therapy for treating addiction, anxiety, depression, insomnia, body image issues, complex trauma, PTSD and a host of other concerns.

Here at Prana Yoga Therapy, we focus less on creating perfect poses and more on how physical postures and specific breathing techniques can influence how energy is flowing through the body. This is done by focusing on the powerful link between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. We merge Eastern and Western medicine concepts with specific Hatha Yoga techniques and Ayurvedic science concepts to address mental and emotional health concerns.
Through assessing the mental health and emotional needs of our clients and collaborating with licensed professional counselors, we are able to develop an individualized practice intervention to help our clients reduce or manage their symptoms, overcome frustrating challenges and attain self-mastery and healing.
